# Wolf and Harry plans not finalised says Fry

Harry Fry is yet to make a decision on where Neon Wolf, second in the Neptune Investment Management Hurdle at last week’s Cheltenham Festival, will head next.

Beaten a head by Willoughby Court in the two and a half mile event, Fry’s charge slightly pecked on landing at the final flight which lost the gelding valuable momentum up the punishing Cheltenham hill.

However, Fry was pleased with his horse and despite being disappointed that the six-year-old son of Vinnie Roe had not won at Prestbury Park, he was still proud with the gelding’s tenacious performance.

Fry is keen to give all his horses that run at Cheltenham plenty of time off before making plans with them but the gelding’s long-term future seems to certainly lie over the larger obstacles.

Impressive in three starts under rules before Cheltenham, Neon Wolf and Willoughby Court pulled well clear at Cheltenham which looks to have given the form a strong look.

Asked about future plans, Fry said: “*We will give all the Cheltenham horses a week to 10 days off and see how they come out of it before making any plans.*

“*In an ideal world Neon Wolf would have won, but he ran very well and we have an exciting horse on our hands.*

“*Without doubt he will be jumping a fence next year, as he looks a chaser through and through. He is a nice one to look forward to.*

“*Plenty of good horses have finished second in the Neptune and gone on to good things.*“

Fry also spoke about Unowhatimeanharry who was only third in the Stayers’ Hurdle despite being a very warm order for the three mile Grade One event.

The trainer remarked: “*Naturally I’m disappointed with Unowhatimeanharry, but he was just not good enough on the day.*

“*His best form is on slower ground and, like Neon Wolf, softer ground would have made a big difference, but that is racing and it is the one thing we can’t control.*

“*Again, we will see where we are in a week to 10 days before making any plans.*“
