# Noel Fehily rides Buveur D’Air and Unowhatimeanharry

Barry Geraghty’s misfortune at missing the Cheltenham Festival after suffering a collapsed lung and six broken ribs from a fall aboard Charli Parcs at Kempton last month has given Noel Fehily some extras to his book of rides at the Festival, which starts next Tuesday, after it was announced that he would ride Buveur D’Air in the Stan James Champion Hurdle and Unowhatimeanharry in the Stayers’ Hurdle, two of the Festival’s biggest fancies in two of the biggest races at Prestbury Park.

Fehily knows both horses well having ridden the pair last year. Fehily partnered Buveur D’Air to a third-placed finish behind Altior and Min in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at last year’s Cheltenham Festival and he will again partner the gelding in the two-mile championship contest, for which Nicky Henderson’s charge is a general 7/2 joint-favourite with JP McManus’ other fancy Yanworth, who will be ridden by Mark Walsh.

Buveur D’Air originally started the season over fences but was reverted back to hurdles by Lambourn handler Henderson earlier this term, with the six-year-old son of Crillon running out a ready winner of the Contender’s Hurdle at Sandown last month under Geraghty.

He looks to be improving with every run and the six-year-old has a massive chance.

Fehily also struck up a good rapport with Unowhatimeanharry last season, riding the Harry Fry-trained gelding to four successes from four runs last term, which culminated with a gutsy length and a quarter victory in the Grade One Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the 2016 Festival.

The nine-year-old son of Sir Harry Lewis has been very impressive in three starts so far this term, which included a facile four and a half-length victory in the Grade One Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot in December, before an authoritative length and three-quarter victory in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham on Festival Trials Day in January.

It was also confirmed that Aidan Coleman would ride My Tent Or Yours in the Champion Hurdle and Minella Rocco, a faller in the Irish Gold Cup last time in the Racing’s Blue Riband event, the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
