Annie Power is set to miss the Cheltenham Festival in March due to a leg injury.
The Champion Hurdle winner was ridden to victory in 2016 by Ruby Walsh, as she became the first mare to take the prize for 22 years.
She followed that up with an Aintree Hurdle win, but hasn’t competed since in any form.

Willie Mullins, Annie Power’s trainer, had hoped she’d compete on February 22nd, but that wasn’t to be the case.
He later confirmed she would miss the festival. Talking to the Racing Post, Mullins said:
She is definitely out of Cheltenham and possibly the rest of the season, but it’s too early to say.
That’s taken its toll on the ante post betting, with stablemate Faugheen, himself an injury worry having missed Leopardstown this weekend, now as short as 4/5 in places.
