It has this morning been confirmed on the At The Races Twitter page that Walk In The Mill and Regal Encore have been withdrawn from today’s Randox Health Grand National.

The eight-year-old Walk In The Mill was pulled up in his last race in a Grade Two contest at Haydock.

However, trainer Robert Walford made the decision to pull his charge, which will come as a disappointment after some promising shows in his work at home.

Despite only getting into the race yesterday as a reserve, he was removed due to looking lame in his schooling work-outs.

The ten-year-old Regal Encore misses out off the back of a very good winner last time out in a Listed Race at Ascot back in February.

The horse will also miss out today as trainer Anthony Honeyball and owner JP McManus admitted concerns over some abnormal bleeds the horse was having, and sadly had to pull the plug on their Grand National dreams, for this year at least.

However, we still have 38 horses going to post as we prepare for the biggest jump race on the planet.
